Garden designer’s videos show you how

There are relatively easy steps we can take to help our gardens grow in harmony with Mother Nature, but according to new research by Yorkshire Bank, the majority of us feel there is a lack of information about how to go about it, and two-thirds believe they would be greener gardeners if free composting kits and garden waste collection services were provided.

In special on-line videos, award-winning garden designer, Chris Beardshaw, gives many simple tips to obtain a greener garden, these range from methods to conserve precious water to growing your own delicious vegetables without using pesticides.

Creating a sustainable outdoor space doesn’t require too much spadework – though the use of hand tools is a great form of eco-exercise! In the two-part video feature, Chris takes you through the basics, from methods to conserve precious water to growing your own delicious vegetables without using pesticides. With a little planning and know how, nature can actually do much of the work for you.

Composting is another great way to reduce your garden’s carbon footprint, save you tiresome trips to the tip and save you money. So if you want to get genuinely green-fingered, check out the videos below. In part 2, Chris shows you how easy it is to make your very own wormery.
