Bag a mobile and send it in

By the time you’ve translated this text message … Hi der. DYK a mob ph wl kz 1000 yrs 2 decay n a landfill site1 … a new mobile phone design will probably be on the market and all the “kidz” will be rushing off to buy it. But what do you do with the old phones that fail to give the street cred you desperately seek?

Thanks to the Woodland Trust, you can now recycle your old “brick”. Not only will the environment benefit but the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity will receive up to £10 per phone recycled.

This will allow for vital conservation work to take place protecting the UK’s precious woodlands which are home to many species of rare plants and animals.

It’s simple too. All you have to do is call 0800 9705097 quoting “Woodland Trust Bag” and you will be sent recycling bags in the post. Alternatively you can order you bags online by emailing WTbags@answerthecall.co.uk When you have your bag simply put the phone in it, seal it and place in the post. And it’s completely FREE as there is no postage to pay.

Still not translated the sentence? “Hi there. Did you know that a mobile phone takes 1000 years to decompose in a landfill site.”

The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. It has 300,000 members and supporters. The Trust has four key aims: i) No further loss of ancient woodland; ii) Restoring and improving the biodiversity of woods; iii) Increasing new native woodland; iv) Increasing people’s understanding and enjoyment of woodland. Established in 1972, the Woodland Trust now has over 1,000 sites in its care covering approximately 20,000 hectares (50,000 acres). Access to its sites is free. Further news can be found via this website.
