Encourages lower energy bills
too!
UK businesses are receiving another
helping hand to reduce carbon emissions
through a new guide published jointly
by the Carbon Trust and the Institute
of Directors. It provides useful information,
advice and examples of best practice
to help large or small businesses
to take steps to cut carbon emissions,
reduce energy bills and thus help
combat climate change.
Recent research by the Carbon Trust
amongst 1500 UK businesses found that
a lack of information on how to take
steps to tackle climate change was
preventing them from addressing the
issue.
It is hope that the new guide –
Climate change: how UK businesses
can benefit by reducing carbon emissions
– will encourage businesses
to understand the business implications
of climate change and encourage them
to take responsibility for their actions
and impact on the global climate.
Written by leading UK journalists,
the guide is full of practical, relevant
advice and top tips that will help
businesses take steps now, at little
cost, to reduce carbon emissions.
It includes specific chapters on energy
efficency and reducing carbon emissions
in small and medium sized businesses,
as well as larger organisations, chapters
on emissions trading and renewable
enregy.
